SPECIALTY CHOCOLATE

Made With Hand-Selected Cacao Beans

OUR STORY

Specializing in cacao farming and craft chocolate making, TACAO is a family-owned cacao business located in the province of Los Rios, Ecuador and the U.S. The privileged climate and geographical position of our cacao farms (fincas) favors the productivity of cacao cultivation. Our passion and dedication for growing cacao beans encouraged us to transform this raw material into a variety of products such as cocoa paste and liquor, as well as semi-dark chocolate bars in varying percentages.

The origin of the name TACAO is attributed to the name of our family: Tapia and Tamayo and cacao products. Our commitment is to deliver high quality, tree-to-bar and cacao products by applying innovative, sustainable agricultural practices and to promote small-scale family farming in Ecuador, the birthplace of cacao.
